Famous Afrobeat singer, Davido Adeleke and his fiancee, Chioma Rowland reportedly lose their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke Jr. to a domestic accident at their residence.

The three-year-old who marked his birthday some days ago drowns in a private swimming pool at the family’s residence in Lagos, according to a family source.

“The boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital,” the family source said under anonymity to await an official statement. “By the time they rushed him to Lagoon Hospital it was already too late.”

Davido was seen teaching Ifeanyi how to swim some days back during a father-son bonding moment, before Ifeanyi passed away.

D’bánj lost his son the same way years back

Ifeanyi’s death is happening four years after singer, Dapo Oyebanjo aka D’banj lost his first child in a very similar circumstance.

The toddler was a bit over a year old when he drowned at pool in his father’s residence in Ikoyi.

David Adedeji Adeleke Jnr also known as Ifeanyi, was born on the 4th of November 2019, a few weeks before the singer’s birthday. Davido was preparing to release his “A Good Time” album when his fiance, Chioma put to bed.

His passing is a shocking pill that many are not willing to accept

His death is painful, and losing your child in such circumstances makes it more painful.
